Effective Usage of Indoor Advertising

This type of communication has a very interesting approach. This does not mean that is different from the others advertising models, it’s just a derivative from Outdoor Advertising. The basic concept for Indoor Advertising is to use the restaurant/bar restroom as an advertising environment. Wall posters placed in restroom with chances of being perceived around 60-80% accuracy. This wall poster is usually the size of A3 paper placed in a frame attached to the wall.

Restroom Advert Frame

This paper size is usually the most used one as a result of economic savings in the company, but the size can be as big as the wall frame is. The communication to the audience is very simple. While the visitor is spending time in the bathroom there is nothing to see, there are just the bathroom walls. Adding poster on the restroom wall (like picture/painting on the wall) the level of comfort is up, plus bigger chances for someone to see it. This means that you have bigger selling power and effective approach in communication with the customer.

The Future of Magazines is Tablet Based

Mag+ from Bonnier on Vimeo.

The future brings to us new way of reading magazines in the old fashioned hand-holding style, but now we are in the Tablet era. Having this way of reading digital magazine or any newspaper out there is more exiting and more interactive in all cases. The editors like to call this experience “Rich Media Magazine Experience” and I agree to that. The idea behind this type of reading and presenting news or written material must evolve, so I think for now this is the best way to bring the old fashioned reading magazine style to the readers, but upgraded. Soon in order to enjoy the full potential of reading quality magazines we’ll have to have a Tablet (iPad, HP Slate, Asus Eee Tablet, etc.) or similar product available on the market. Little investment that will bring us the books back in our hands, accompanied with the browsing and using the Internet. Already bunch of magazine editions announced the release of Tablet based magazine issue that brings the readers experience up to the next level, even greater from the paper way of reading it.

Outdoor Advertising: Billboards

billboard

The most recognized outdoor type of advertising is the Billboards. One of the Business aspect about Billboards is the increase of name (brand) recognition and sell products. The dimensions of the Billboards are usually different from one continent to another, but the most recognizable sizes are the 4 x 3 m and the 6 x 3 m (~ 5 x 2.5 m) and the US famous “Bulletins” 48′ x 14′, 24′ x 12′, 40′ x 10′, etc.

Very important fact about billboards is the quality of the print. For cost effective saving the billboards are usually printed in low resolution (30-60dpi), but there is no need for bigger quality. This outdoor media is created to be perceived from long distance and from passing by, so in order to see this low res print we need to be at least 2 or 3 meters (6 feets) distance from the billboard and standing there for 1-2 minutes.
